Services
The
St. Lucie County Clerk of Court Finance Department handles all St. Lucie County
Board of County Commissioners receipts and disbursement of monies, including
State, Federal, and other grants. They also serve as the accountant and
internal auditor for the Board of County Commissioners. The Payroll Department
administers payroll services to approximately 986 Board of County Commissioner
deputies.
In
addition, the Finance Department handles St. Lucie County Clerk of Circuit
Court receipts and disbursements. Human Resources and the Payroll Department
administer personnel services to approximately 219 Clerk of Court deputies. The
Finance Department consists of 29 full time and 2 part-time deputies.
The
Finance Department prepares the financial statements for the Board of County
Commissioners (BOCC), performs all investment functions for the BOCC operating
funds, and accounts for fixed assets and long term debt. They also employ
personnel to record all BOCC Board meetings and special meetings, including
Budget Sessions and Value_Adjustment_Board_(VAB)_Hearings. Finance personnel accept Value Adjustment Petition Fees, Declaration of Domiciles, and Retirees/LOA insurance premiums.
