Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public-records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.

ALL COURT DOCUMENTS
Any person preparing or filing a court document should not include a social security number or a complete bank account, debit, charge, or credit card number in such document, unless required by law or court rule, or necessary to the adjudication of the case. Any person has a right to request that the Clerk of the Circuit Court remove from an image or copy of a court document a social security number or complete bank account, debit, charge, or credit card number contained in a court document. Such request must be made in writing and delivered by mail, facsimile, electronic transmission, or in person to the Clerk of the Circuit Court. The request must specify the case number, the title of the document, and the identification page number of the document which contains the number to be redacted. A fee will not be charged for the redaction of a social security number or a complete bank account, debit, charge, or credit card number pursuant to such a request. Elected by a majority of the voters in November 2004, Ed Fry took the oath of office on January 4th, 2005. He has a long history of public service, serving as the Finance Director of Indian River County for 20 years. Ed received his bachelors of business administration degree with a major in accounting from Florida Atlantic University. He is a certified public accountant and a certified government finance officer.

Ed has been married for over 20 years to Lori, a Spanish instructor at Indian River State College. He has been a resident of St Lucie County since 1978, relocating from West Palm Beach to accept a position as a staff auditor with the Florida Auditor General's Office.




The Clerk of the Circuit Court, established by the Constitution of 1838, is the public trustee for the county. The Clerk provides the checks and balances in county government by acting in his capacity as
Clerk to the Board, Clerk to the Court, Keeper of the Public Records, Comptroller and Internal Auditor, of county funds. The Clerk serves as the check and balance for the board of county commissioners by ensuring that county funds are properly accounted for and that the use of those funds meets a public service need. The clerk serves as the check and balance to the courts by ensuring that all fines, court costs and fees are collected and by keeping accurate records of all court cases.
